Operation BeeStrong Orientation Session: Introduction to Mentorship & Beekeeping

Join us for the official orientation session for Operation BeeStrong, the unique mentorship program connecting trauma-exposed professionals (military, first responders, etc.) with experienced beekeepers to promote mental wellness and build community.

This session is designed for both individuals interested in applying and those who have already registered as a mentor or mentee but want to learn more before the season begins.

What You Will Learn:

• Operation BeeStrong Program Introduction: Get a detailed overview of the program's mission, structure, and the positive impact of beekeeping on mental wellness.

• Fundamentals of Beekeeping: Receive an engaging, brief overview of beekeeping essentials, presented by the experts at Nature's Own Design. This is your opportunity to understand the basics of starting a hive and what the commitment involves.

• Q&A Session: Meet the Operation BeeStrong team and have all your questions answered about registration, matching, training, and the 2025 season.

Who Should Attend?

This event is essential for:

1. Prospective Mentees: Trauma-exposed professionals (veterans, first responders, healthcare workers, etc.) interested in joining the program.

2. Prospective Mentors: Experienced beekeepers looking to share their skills and give back.

3. Registered Participants: Those who have already signed up but want a more detailed look at the program's operations and meet their peers.

Location and Our Vision

This orientation will be hosted at Nature's Own Design in Trenton, Ontario.

While our initial 2025 cohort is focused on the Quinte region, we are actively recruiting future leaders across the province! Come learn how you can help us establish new Operation BeeStrong chapters in your area starting in 2026 or 2027.
